It’s the year 2027 and it’s been ten years since it last rained. , , anywhere in the world.
The last time it rained she was in her mothers tummy. And when Grampa, her favourite storyteller told her about that seven-coloured arc of a rainbow in the sky that comes just after rain when the sun shines, she knew that the stories are now stretching a bit too far.
The air outside has dried up so much that stepping out without proper protection could burn your skin. Hence, Anoushqa along with billion others in the world wear body protectors and face masks/sun guards when they step outside. People all over the world, survive on H20-a chemical replacement of water created in laboratories, sold at a premium price. But like Anoushqa says, Its part of life.
Despite an over active imagination, the rain-filled past does not interest Anoushqa. As
she reasons it out, how can you miss something that you have never seen? How can you yearn for something that you never really had?
But when Anoushqa discovers that her favourite person Grampa is on his deathbed and his last wish is to see rain, her life jolts her out of her comfortable existence and makes her question her rightful place in the drastically changing environment.
She embarks on a journey where she learns to cope with the pending loss of a loved one and realizes the power of following her dreams.
