A small-town farmer accidentally crosses paths with an angry beekeeper who demands that the farmer become his servant. Beauty, the farmer’s daughter, feels responsible for her father’s predicament and takes his place at the beekeeper’s side. Beauty overcomes her fear of bees and she and the beekeeper grow increasingly close, though Beauty repeatedly refuses to marry him. Only after a prolonged trip home, when Beauty breaks a promise to the beekeeper, does Beauty reveal her true feelings about the beekeeper and set the two of them on a path to life happily ever after.
